What is the internet?  The internet is a network of computers linking many different types of computers all over the world.  It is a very large wide area network (WAN) connecting computers and networks around the world.  It makes it possible for millions of users to connect to another is telephones lines, cables lines and satellites

When did the internet create?  The history of the internet has its origin in information theory and the efforts of computer scientists around the world to build and interconnect computer networks. The Internet Protocol Suite arose from research and development in the the United States and involved international collaboration, particularly with researchers in the United Kingdom and France.
